The Quadro Bench was created in 1970 by the Superstudio design group. The reduction to the essential is characteristic of the Quaderna bench: it has no single legs, the top merges directly into two support plates - so the Quaderna bench appears as a unitary whole. The graphic motif completely covers the bench giving it a retro and modern look at the same time. You can use Quaderna both as a coffee table and as a bench. The Quaderna is part of the radical design movement of the late 1960s. This movement, born in Florence [Italy], has tried to overcome the disciplinary discourse of architecture and design. The goal of the radical design movement was to destroy the normal image of the product.
