Marble has always been a noble material. It was used since ancient times for creating the sculptures and some parts of buildings.
The Sumerians and Babylonians in Mesopotamia used marble stone, mostly white stone to build temples and sculptures of big size. The Egyptians were perfect masters of marble. The marble they used ranged from the famous Egyptian black to Nile green color. They did build sculpted columns of marble and different statues of enormous dimensions, presently exhibited in the most important museums in the world.
Marble was used also in Greek and Roman civilizations as a noble material for sculptures, temples, especially in Roman art. It was used also for different buildings.
The use of this material continued in the Middle Ages, in the Renaissance up to the 19th century, then presented with the sculptures of Michelangelo in the Renaissance, and the 3 graces of Canova in the neoclassical period.
Only in the 20th century marble became a "common" material for design of different items, such as tables, tops for kitchens, bathrooms or luxurious bathtubs.
Following this concept, Fadesign has created specially designed products to bring this noble material into your home. Furthermore, the price allows every person to obtain not only a table, but a real work of art designed following your preferences.
